Reydel Arrieta Olano was born in Havana, Cuba. He is graduated from the Technological University of Havana “José Antonio Echeverría” CUJAE with a five-years Bachelor of Automation Engineering. He worked for the Bio-Technological industry as an Automation Specialist at the Specialized Engineer Service Company (ESINES). He holds a Msc in Industry 4.0 from the University of Jaén, Spain. His final dissertation was entitled “Study and implementation of a typical node for a wireless sensor network and Internet gateway”.
He has experience with low and high level programming languages, multiple communication protocols and platforms hardware, different Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), and automation technical means.
Currently, he is a PhD student enrolled in the Doctoral Program in Electrical and Computer Engineering (PDEEC) of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), Portugal. He is very interested in the world of embedded systems and real-time processing.
