3 New FCT Projects to Start at CISTER
29, Sep, 2010
CISTER Researchers submitted 6 project proposals to the 2009 FCT call of project proposals. The results of the evaluation were released beginning of this month, and we are glad to announce that 3 of the CISTER’s FCT project proposals were accepted for funding. The new CISTER projects are all in the very competitive areas of Computer Science and Electrical and Computer Engineering.
This is an outstanding acceptance, which makes CISTER one of the most competitive research centers in Portugal. The projects are: ViPCore (Virtual Processor-based Multicore Scheduling); RePoMuC (Real-Time Power Management on Partitioned Multicores) and MASQOTS (Mobility mAnagement in wireless Sensor networks under Quality-of-service constraints using standard and Off-The-Shelf technologies), and represent a total over 310 KEuros of funding to ISEP.
These projects are led by key CISTER-ISEP researchers Arvind Easwaran, Stefan M. Petters and Mário Alves, respectively.
