| Summary: | Objectives: Achieving Quality-of-Service in large-scale distributed embedded systems using standard communication protocols and Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) hardware platforms and operating systems. Expected results: Fault-tolerance mechanisms for overcoming ZigBee routers failure or link quality degradation, considering temporal and energy efficiency; Mobility management mechanisms in Zigbee-based WSNs; Architecture of the gateway between "backbone" and sensor networks; Dynamic QoS management using mobile cooperating Gateways; Adapt or propose new security mechanism for ZigBee at a global (multi-tiered) level. |
